The Brown Scapular

It is a gift to you from your Heavenly Mother

"Whoever dies in this garment shall not suffer eternal fire"

Promise of our Lady to St. Simon Stock - July 16, 1251

True devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary consists in three things: VENERATION, CONFIDENCE AND LOVE. By simply wearing the Scapular, we can tell her every moment of the day that we venerate her, love her and trust in her protection. It is especially in time of temptation that we need the powerful intercession of God's Mother. The evil spirit is utterly powerless when the wearer of a scapular faces temptation, calling upon the Holy Virgin in this silent devotion. The Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel has promised to save those who wear the scapular from the fires of hell, She will also shorten their stay in purgatory if they should pass from this world still owing some debt of punishment (https://www.sistersofcarmel.com/brown-scapular-information.php). The above scapular is PVC printed, layered with clear plastic and sewn on a felt backing.

The Green Scapular

Ten years after the manifestation of the Miraculous Medal to Sister Catherine Laboure in 1830, the Blessed Mother entrusted the Green Scapular of the Immaculate Heart to Sister Justine Bisqueyburu, likewise a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.
The manner of using the Scapular was indicated by the Blessed Virgin. Since it is not the badge of a confraternity but simply a double image attached to a single piece of cloth and suspended from a cord, investiture is not required. It suffices that it be blessed by a priest and worn by the one for whom it is intended. It may be placed in the clothing, on the bed, or simply in the room.
The only prayer is the inscription surrounding the heart on the reverse of the Scapular: "Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death." Although wonderful graces are obtained, they are proportionate to the confidence with which it is given.
The Green Scapular was twice approved by Pope Pius IX, in 1863, and again in 1870, when he said: "Write to these good Sisters that I authorize them to make and distribute it."

Ornate Medieval French Crucifix Necklace (Copper and Silver Tone)

An ornate copper tone, cast crucifix that was inspired by the filigree metalwork of medieval 6th to 12th century Constantinople and monasteries in Europe who studied and imitated the work of Byzantine jewelers. The Fleur-de-lis was added to the arms of crosses to add meaning and embellishment in the 12th century. It was about the 13th century when the Fleur-de-lis was found in depictions of Jesus. It then gradually took on strong Marian symbolism as lilies in France at that time, was associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Intricately delicate filigree design was popular in France during the 16th to the late 19th century. The Fleur-de-lis designs on the ends of the cross were traditionally French. The 3 petals was said to be a sign of divine favor bestowed on France and was also widely associated with the Trinity. The Fleur-de-lis was also found on the coat-of-arms of St. Joan of Arc - Maid of Heaven.

Size: 5.5cm x 3.4cm x 0.7cm. Corpus and cross are in 2 piece construction. Copper tone crucifix comes with contrasting 18 inch antique roman bronze chain.
